The General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR, is a set of rules designed to give residents of the European Union (EU) more control over their personal data starting in May 2018.
Although the GDPR is complex and we expect that aspects of the rules and the best practices for compliance with the rules will evolve over time, SplashData is committed to working to comply with the new regulations and to continuing to provide our users with the highest level of data protection, just as we have been doing since we got started in 2000.
As always, we encourage you to review our Privacy Policy, which is available here.
SplashData continues to maintain tight technical and organizational security controls to assist you in securing your data;
Because our password management solutions are designed to keep your passwords safe and secure, we do not, have not and will never have access to the personal records you enter into our password management applications;
How you can access, update, or delete data you have stored, unsubscribe from our communications, and decline to have your data used for marketing purposes is in your control.
There is minimum information we must capture. In order to set up your account we must have your email address, and if you are a paying customer we must have your billing information. We also keep messages that have been sent to us from customers.
You may withdraw consent to SplashData at anytime by completing a support ticket asking for your account to be deleted. You can do this for your product or application or by emailing us at techsupport@splashdata.com. If you decide to withdraw consent for SplashData’s terms and conditions, we will no longer be able to provide you service. If you wish to delete your account, we strongly recommend you export your data before deleting your account.
If you wish to change any of your information, you can generally do so within the application. If you wish to request any information required under GDPR you can do so by submitting a request to our user support team at techsupport@splashdata.com.
If you have any suggestions or complaints about our GDPR compliance, please let us know at techsupport@splashdata.com and we will address it immediately.
Although GDPR did not introduce any significant new requirements to our already tight security and privacy practices, we have reviewed and made some changes to our customer onboarding process to meet GDPR guidelines.
We continue to evaluate our information security and data privacy practices and standards to ensure we stay in the forefront of keeping your data safe and secure.
Sincerely,
Your SplashData Security Team
